"Where was this book when I was a kid?" Sound familiar? You've heard your friends say this multiple times, and perhaps you've said so yourself after closing a book, maybe even hugging it to your heart. I've even said it on occasion, particularly about picture books, but this is the first time I've said it about a middle grade book.
